The blocks are 10 inches, so I'm doing 6X6 with a row on top of the bookcase, and feet at the bottom.
When I counted my blocks, I'm really close, another two blocks should do it.
Here are my latest blocks:
(you have to be a bit of an HP fan to get what they are!)
A framed picture of Dumbledore
Mad Moody's Eye
The Sorting Hat
A Howler
It was my month in the Stars in Their Eyes bee, so I asked for blocks for this quilt. My Bee-mates were awesome!
I can't wait to start laying out these blocks!

Oh my gosh, these are just wonderful!
ReplyDeletewell done x not a HP fan but my grandson (8) is telling me ALL the details! lol x
ReplyDeleteThese blocks are so clever! My husband and daughter are huge Harry Potter fans so I will forward this post to them.
ReplyDeleteI've made some HP blocks myself over the years. Love the book next to the vial with the spiders in the corner! Good idea to use graded color to make the book binding look curved! Thanks for sharing.

Wow, you've been on a roll! Love the Howler, and Mad Moody's Eye; they're just a little gruesome, and charming! You know you've got us excited to see progress!
ReplyDeleteI'm so in love with this I can't even begin. I LOVE Harry Potter, and I don't care who knows it. And all of these blocks are beautiful. I cannot wait to see the finished quilt. This makes me want to make one too, although that looks waaay beyond my abilities, and I guess I need to learn how to design my own paper pieced blocks. But anyways, just love it. Great work!!
